Appearance

RR CAMPUS GYM ​

The two-storey gym of RR campus is located inside of the Golden Jubilee Block, in the basement -1 and -2 floors.

Timings ​

  • The gym opens at 5:30 AM and closes at 7:15 PM.
  • The gym trainer is available in two time slots: one from 5:30 AM to 8:15 AM and the other from 3:30 PM.
  • During the trainer's presence, there will be a fixed session time, which lasts exactly for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • There is a limited intake during the rush hours, usually after the classes, and only 45-50 members can access the gym at one time during that period.

Application Process ​

  • Open PESU Academy, go to Online Payments section and select Miscellaneous Fees.
  • In the Category dropdown, select RECREATIONAL CENTER, and in the Sub-Category, select Gym Fee.
  • Finish the payment on the PESU Academy Portal. A fee receipt will be available in 2 to 3 days' time. If you don't get it, please go to the accounts section of MRD Block and ask for it.
  • Take a copy of the fee receipt, and two passport size photos, one for an application form and anoter for an ID Card, and head to the sports department located in the basement of GJB.
  • Once you fill the form handed out to you, an ID Card will be issued, allowing access into the gym.
  • Note that the person in charge leaves after 3:30 PM, so it is recommended to visit earlier than 3:30 PM.

Equipment ​

Lower Floor: Weight Training ​

  • Four benches
  • A squat rack
  • Two racks of dumbbells ranging upto 40 kg
  • Deadlifting is possible, but no dedicated lighting platform is present

Upper Floor: Cardio ​

  • 10 treadmills
  • 8 cycles
  • 8 ellipticals
  • 2 stairmasters
  • Space for sledge pushing, which is also used for pre-workout and post-workout stretching

Stuff to Bring Along ​

  • Training shoes, preferably to be used only for the gym
  • No strict dress code as such: wear comfortable outfit
  • A towel
  • A water bottle
  • A deodrant

The Locker Rooms ​

  • The locker rooms are located in the same floor as the Cardio equipment, with ample amount of storage.
  • There are also a few changing rooms, washrooms and two showers with cold water only.

Membership ​

The membership fee to the gym is ₹10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand only) for the academic session (10 months), which should be paid as instructed in the application process.
